My Thoughts on Mirrors

Who is he?

It cannot be me

His body bears gashes and scars

Surely, those cannot be ours

Bruises sewn across his face

Body proportions out of place

Clothes torn and covered in brine

Surely these cannot be mine

But, upon closer inspection

I recognize his complexion

And as it grew clearer

I had to smash the mirror

Thus ending the story of I,

Of Dr. Jekyll, and of Mr. Hyde
